We built Clasifi from the ground up with your privacy and security in mind. Here's exactly how your financial data is protected.
Clasifi stores all of your bookkeeping data — transactions, categories, reports — locally in your browser using localStorage. Your financial records are never uploaded to or stored on our servers.
This means your data is as private as your own computer. No cloud storage. No remote databases. No risk of a server-side breach exposing your books.
When you use AI-powered features like PDF import or automatic categorization, your data is processed securely through Anthropic's API. Anthropic is SOC 2 Type II certified and does not use API data to train their models.
AI features are optional. If you prefer that no data leaves your device, you can use Clasifi's CSV import and manual categorization features exclusively — or choose Clasifi Lite, which never sends data to any third-party AI service.
Access to Clasifi is protected by a license key issued through Lemon Squeezy at the time of purchase. Clasifi does not store usernames or passwords. Your license key is the only credential required.
Clasifi is hosted on GitHub Pages with HTTPS enforced. All traffic between your browser and our app is encrypted in transit. We do not serve Clasifi over unencrypted HTTP under any circumstances.
All payments are processed by Lemon Squeezy, powered by Stripe. Clasifi never sees, touches, or stores your payment card information. Stripe is PCI DSS Level 1 certified — the highest level of payment security certification available.
